Was born in 1961.

Graduated from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, faculty of Geography-Biology in 1983.

Was a post-graduate at the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1988-1991.

Worked at the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of
Azerbaijan as a junior scientific worker in 1991-1993.

Worked at the Institute of Soil and Agricultural Chemistry of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a senior scientific worker in 1993-2000.

Is a candidate of Agricultural Sciences since 1994.

Is a member of the Political Council of New Azerbaijan Party

Graduated from Baku State University, faculty of Law in 2000.

Was a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1995-2000.

Worked at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan as
a chief of the Environmental Policy Office in 2002, and as a chief of the Examination Office in 2003.

Works as a deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources since 2004.

Novruz Quliyev

Deputy Minister of Ecology and
Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Was born in 1952.

Graduated from Azerbaijan State University, faculty of Chemistry in 1974.

Graduated from postgraduate course of the Institute of Biochemistry of USSR Academy of Sciences in 1977.

Honored with academic degree of candidate of biological sciences in 1978, and doctor of biological sciences in 1992.

Was elected associate member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan in 2001.

Started occupation at the Scientific-Research Husbandry Institute in 1974.

Worked at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan as a senior, key scientific worker since May 1981, and currently works at the Institute of Botany as a head of laboratory.

Was elected a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1995 and in 2000.

Works as a deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources since 2005.

Rauf Hajiyev

Deputy Minister of Ecology and

Was born in 1958.

Graduated from Azerbaijan State University, faculty of biology in 1980.

Worked at the Physics Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan in 1980.

Worked at the chair of “vertebral zoology” of ASU as a head laboratory assistant, assistant, and head teacher in 1981.

Honored with candidate of biological sciences in 1989.

Worked at the chair of “vertebral zoology” of Baku State University as an assistant professor in 1995.

Worked at the fish-breeding institution of “Azerfish” State Concern as a deputy chief in 1995, and as a chief in 1999.

Graduated from Baku State University, faculty of Law in 2003.

Honored with academic degree of biological sciences in 2005.

Worked at the department of Reproduction and Protection of Biological Resources at reservoirs of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources as a director in 2000-2001.

Honored with academic status of professor by the Supreme Attestation Commission in 2008.

Honored with the “Medal of Progress” of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009.

Works as a deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources since 2011.
